Space collections allow the system to book a collection of spaces in a single reservation. An example of this would be if you allow larger vessels to take up an entire bay instead of a single space. If your marina has a bay with 2 independent slips, A01 and A02, a large vessel could take up both A01 and A02 if necessary.
Creating and Assigning the Space Collections
Much like creating spaces themselves, space collections are created in settings and applied to products afterwards.
Using the navigation pane on the left, select Marina.
Click Settings at the top.
Click the Space Collections tile.
To create a new space collection, select Add New at the top right.
Field | Function |
Name | Names the Space Collection. Usually will be the name of both or all spaces in this collection. |
Booking Type | Sets booking type of collection. |
Spaces | Where the independent spaces are selected for use and tied together in this collection. |
Space Group | Sets the Space Group. |
Description | Description of the space collection. |
Capacity | Prepopulated field based on the Booking Type selected above. Capacity can be set to 1 unit(s), square footage, LOA, or beam. |
Icon | Shape of icon when putting on map. Square is the default used across all of Sharper if you wish to stay consistent. |
Map Color | Color of the icon on the map before occupancy is checked. Blue is the default color. |
Opacity | Opacity of the space on the map. |
Map Caption | Changes the name of the space collection on the map only. |
Owner | If the collection is owned by a customer, not the marina, they can be selected here. |
Notes | Notes will appear on the map when hovering over the space. |
Alert | When this field is populated the space will change color to yellow with the text in the field available to view when hovering over the space. |
Inactive Toggle | Toggles the space’s active status. |
Vessel Constraints | The fields here let you determine the size of the vessel allowed to be booked in this collection. |
Save and repeat for any other space collections.
After the space collections are created they will need to be applied to a product just as individual spaces are.
Navigate to the Products page by using the toolbar at the top.
Select the product you wish to assign the space collections to.
On the left, select Units. This is where the space collections will be selected to be used for bookings.
Save and repeat for any other products using space collections.
