Product categories serve as the primary classification for items, grouping together similar products under a broad umbrella term like "watersports equipment." A more specific subcategory could be "water carpet or tube." Marinas have the option to expand its product offerings by starting with the inclusion of a new parent category.
\uD83D\uDCD8 Create Product Categories
If you are a Marina with multiple outlets, please make sure to be in the ‘TRS’ or ‘POS’ outlet before beginning.
Select to the POS module from the navigation pane.
From the ribbon menu at the top choose Settings.
Click on the Product Categories tile.
Click the Add New button.
Create a Name for the product category.
Select the Parent category from the drop-down selection if applicable. Parent category must be created prior in order to be available for selection.
Click the Save button.
Assign the product categories to the POS products.
