Product Setup - Booking

This guide will cover the product creation in the Booking module. The must-have prerequisite is the Booking Type which is setup in Booking > Settings. If you are adding a product to a Booking Type that already exists, there is no need to create a new booking type.

How do you know if you need to create a product? If you've introduced a new boat or new hotel room that have different rates or rules from the other products you will need to create a new product. There is an exception for some marinas that were setup with a limited amount of products. This is because you were setup with multiple rate plans that are tied to 1 product.

If you are a marina that falls into this category of 1 or 2 booking products it may be best to create a new rate plan and tie it to that product. If you are unsure, please add a comment to your current ticket or create a new one asking what you should do and we will point you in the right direction.

Creating the product will be broken into 4 sections. First is the General Information, second is the Units, third Booking Setup, last is Pricing.

If you are not creating a new product the information below is useful for updating your current products.

Click the Booking module using the navigation pane on the left.

Select Products using the menu ribbon at the top.

At the top right-hand corner select Add New.

Select the Time Period. Daily are typically for full day boat rentals. Nightly are typically units being booked over night. Hourly are typically for half day rentals.

Fill out the page as comprehensively as possible to ensure all required fields are completed. Failure to do so may prevent you from saving your progress later on.
